my wife has been working quite a bit of extra hours. i offered to go to her work with her last night and keep her company and thought we might even have sex there in her office. kind of kinky?! She didn't want to and that's fine. so i stayed home with the kids, fed them, did their homework, picked out clothes for today, cleaned the kitchen, fed pets, etc. and then cleaned her bathroom and was trying to straighten up her dressing room when she came home. she was upset i didn't meet her at the door with some hot tea; didn't sweep her off her feet and carry her to our bedroom and make love to her (although she's been too exhausted the past 9 days to make love at night); file and paint her nails or give her a message and foot bath.

i did nothing for myself except finalize arrangement on the phone with our cleaning lady and fielded two calls for her.
She said i wasn't romantic and started a fight. i felt it was unfare of her because i work, too, and spent the night cleaning, etc.

i was cleaning because our house is a mess and she wants it "cleaned" before the cleaning lady comes so she doesn't think we're slobs. if that makes since. my wife is a slob. she has a 10x14 dressing room and you can't see the floor because she takes her clean clothes (that I wash) and throws them in a pile. She takes her dirty clothes off and dumps them in the floor. so there is a small path through the room. when she does a quarterly cleaning "Because i just can't stand it anymore" she feels it's an infringement on her rights to clean up her own mess. so once a week i try and clean it up but honestly i haven't done that since before Christmas and it's getting very messy. so i worked about 90 minutes on it last night and was also listening to the President's address. When she got home i was doing work that she should, as a responsible adult, be doing herself. so i guess i got a bit pissed at her for expecting me to be romantic and chipper when i was doing her dirty work.

I've been in the same boat as you! There are many times I've cooked, cleaned and done the laundry after I worked all day...only to have her come home and blow up on me over something stupid. No matter what I do for her, it's never good enough. These types of people have major issues that can only be solved with therapy.

I've decided to move out and she's now seeing a therapist...maybe we'll work it out, maybe not. I know that there is someone out there that will appreciate me for the little things I do for them! The same goes for you!

OMG - they need to CLONE you!!!!! Your wonderful - but.... I believe you've spoiled your wife. Nothing wrong with helping each other out, but when one person does so much and the other doesn't - or expects things, its not good.
You need to get tough and tell your wife if she wants to clean before the cleaning lady comes she had better get busy b/c your done! She sets "rules" for you - not herself. She needs to take into consideration what you do around that house. Until you stand up to her, things won't change! Good luck!

Wow! If my man did half of that I would be jumping in the sack with him. I think it is romantic doing all that for your lady. Maybe she thinks it is too much. Maybe she wants you to be more of a manly man and act more assertive in the bed room. You should do more for yourself and then she probably would respect you too. Sounds like you need a night out with the guys.

Wow. . .you did all that!!! You should talk to my husband. . .he barely bathes our child or anything!!! If she only knew what she had.

She needs to get it together. NO woman or man should get too comfortable and think that they are the best thing that happened to their partner because there is always someone who can do it better than them! She is really ungrateful. I wish someone would appreciate me and do things like that for me. I don't know what to say I am amazed that you would do all that for her. I do hope she would do the same for you? Because you deserve it as well. If not I would stop, immediately so that she can see what she is losing.

If you are really that good of a man and she mistreats you like that then get a divorce!!! but somehow i dont picture any one being that good,so maybe next time find the energy and @#$%her till she is so worn out she cant talk you about it anymore and then she will fall asleep!!!!!!and then you can clean in peace and quiet...

Poor Cinderella... She worked long hours and was tired. Bet you made sure she knew ALL that you did huh?! Get over yourself and make up with her. We all do what needs to be done when we have a home and family, you shouldn't expect a metal.

I cannot imagine any women being upset that her husband doesn’t do things like ‘file and paint her nails, give her a massage and foot bath’ etc. Did she REALLY say that?
