The reason that you like Geo.W.Bush's speeches is because they are generally very good, even if he does not convince the opposition, he rouses his own supporters.

An article in the Times a few years ago, likened George W Bush's speeches to the sermons of the Rev. John Wesley MA. May be there is some truth in that. The only similarity I can see between the two men is that they both preach from horseback. This way you can quickly get away from a crowd if it begins to turn ugly.

George W Bush is not mad, he is not insane; he is simply mistaken and the people no longer wish to hear his message. Bear in mind that many Americans voted Geo W Bush for a second term simply because they were told that their nation was at war. This usually signals to the electorate to 'stay with the commander in chief'. They've done that and now they find the truth that their army is being killed for no good reason and they want them brought home. Your not seeing the bodies so much as the mother weeping on TV - I want my Johnny home.

The politicians who send young men to war to die like so much cannon fodder in a lost cause, never put themselves directly in the firing line, except of course the possibility of assassination. God forbid.

Actually, I read an article on that, he has 15 of the nations best writers thinking full time on what he is supose to say.
A teleaprompter is in front of his face so all he has to do is look up and read. Sometimes he never even reads it ahead of time.
The question was asked how do they know what he is supose to say? He says what they think the public wants to hear to keep his party in office. It is a game just like commercials.
It costs millions to put on a commercial so they have a staff of writers trying to figure out what you will look at.
They have a gimic like a lizzard talking or a cave man, to get you to look. The best commercial isn't any good if no one looks.

God writes them. And it's with the certainty of His Holy Blessing that Bush sallys forth causing mayhem and destruction.

As for sounding good - I'm one of a vast number of people who cannot stand to watch or listen to this guy. I hit 'channel up' everytime he comes on the TV - it's just too painful to watch. He's so incompetent for this job, so lacking in charisma and leadership, lacking in presence, he fumbles over the most basic concepts and ideas, he is unable to express himself in an eloquent manner, he can't think on his feet. So many of the basic requirements to fulfill the role are absent in this looney. I find it impossible to watch him, I have to change channels.

Given the above and his score 11 on the Gump scale ((0-10) for stupidy), I was not suprised at all that he got re-elected for a second term. It'll be Cheney next - God help us all.

He looks and sounds like a pre-teen boy trying to get approval and will say anything to get it. He looks as if he is trying so hard not to make a mistake. It would be interesting if he would just talk and tell us what he really thinks. At least that way some people would agree with him versus just policies they want him to push for them.

similar as who writes another president's speeches... professional speech writers... i appreciate those who analyze Bush to Hitler... comparing the president who, at worst, stumbled his way into an unjust conflict to the guy who purely about unmarried handedly began the finest proper conflict in human heritage and engineered Europe's maximum poor genocide... and yet conservative are those that are "out of contact with actuality"... dazzling...

If he only meant what his speech writers said he would almost be human. However if you listen to his speeches close you can still pick out when he is lying, his lips are moving.
