"Cut & Run" is a saying that has become tainted, and is used by Republicans to argue against what Democrats want to do in Iraq... leave.
Many conservatives, when they hear cut & run, all of a sudden think: "liberal commie scum want to pull out of Iraq and leave the terrorists there with the WMD's." Well, this isn't the case, since obviously there's no WMD's, we're not communists, nor scum, and a majority of Democrats are for a phased withdrawal of all U.S. forces, taking a year or more to completely transfer power.
Basically, I think that most Republican citizens listen to what their commentators or Congressmen are spewing out, and accept it as fact. No one should ever completely trust a radio personality or a politician.

Whenever a conservative accuses those who want to expedite the return of troops home from Iraq as merely cutting and running, I always like to employ a little analogy to show them how asinine their view is:
If your son sees two rabid dogs fighting, and this fighting does not effect him or anyone he loves in anyway, and given that they are senseless creatures, any effort to break up the conflict will not be fruitful and could result in your son’s death, would you accuse your son of “cutting and running” if he turned around and left and allowed the two dogs to destroy each other? I don’t think any loving parent would and in fact they would encourage him to refrain from getting involved. The best thing to happen is for the dogs to kill each other so they can be of danger to no one else.
The same holds true for anyone who would have his or her son, or someone else’s son come home from Iraq. Cutting and running is not a sign of cowardice, it is instead a sign of thinking about the situation intelligently, and coming to the conclusion that there is nothing American meddling can do to mitigate the sectarian acrimony that has been fomenting for years in Iraq. It is ultimately something that the Iraqi’s must work out on their own, and the more of them that kill each other in the process, just means one less Muslim militant to shout “death to America”.

Unfortunatly no one has a good idea on what to do in Iraq.
If we stay, the fighting will continue.
If we leave, the fighting will continue and then Iran will take over. And then even more deaths will occur.
This is a war that none of us have ever known. It's not clear who we are fighting because they are coming from all over the place. It's not like this is an army fighting an army.
But people throw our soldiers death toll as if it were 100,000 people. We are still under 4,000 people in 4 years.
I wish that the news would show us what good is being done over there because of us.
There really isn't a good choice either way. Stay or leave will both have consequences. And there really isn't any point in debate on why we went there in the first place. We are there, now what do we do?

Being a real conservative does no longer imply you're able to accept as true with the war, a real conservative follows the form and enterprets it the way it replaced into written... basically the recent conservative party are sheep followers. The old conservative party follows precisely what Ron Paul stands for. could tutor your self on the authentic ideals of the events no longer the MEDIA fed ideals that such fairly some people think of skill conservative.

First, you need to understand that the military has not failed. Congress has and the media has. you have seen very little positive reporting on all the great things happening in Iraq. How often do you get to hear what the troops themselves have to say? Do some research. There is over 100,000 of our boys and girls over there that would take exception to your question.

You first must remember that Bush is a globalist. He is liberal ad is not a conservative at all. Conservatives believe in local governments and schools, etc.....he claims to be conservative when he's not.....and I think he's nutz because every person in America wants the war to end and he does not....he is ignorant.

Hmm name another war where the 4th largest army was destroyed in less than 6 months, the Government taken down all with leass than 1000 casualties suffered by the invading forces? We Lost 81,000 in just a few days at the Battle of the Bulge. We lost 23,000 in on day at Antietam. You call 3500 in 4 years failure, you must be fun at parties!
