Marcus...v6 stands for victory over 5..you see in the being of the auto industry..there was a great war between 5 and 6..and 6 won of course..and 6 lost to 8 and 8 lost to 12...oh come on...it stands for 6 cylinders..the car has 6 combustion cylinders..and they are in a v formation..

ok when it says v before the number then you have a motor that looks like a V when you look at it from the front... The number after tells you how mnay cylinders that it has.. Ex. |6 means inline 6 cylinder. means all six cylinders are in a line instead of in a V.
