I felt an ititial "kick" or "bump" and that was the day that I put on my calendar for the "first movement." And no doubt, you did too. But after that you will feel the baby's hand or foot "brush" the inside of your uterus. I think this is the "butterflies" you are speaking of. It is just a movement. Sometimes they stick an elbow out, sometimes they kick, sometime they just move to reposition and brush across you. And sometimes they do a Half Nelson and the Macarena at the same time!! The baby's "movement" will not always be a poking or pushing feel. It's getting a little tight in there now and he might be stretching his limits. That is probaby why you feel every little movement.
Your baby is probably just very alert and active. You can talk to your doctor just to make sure that there is nothing to be concerned about. But I wouldn't worry if baby's heart rate is good and you are healthy.
Congratulations!

There is no need to worry. I am pregnant with my fifth baby and I started feeling her move around 17-18 weeks and once I felt the fist sign of movement it hasn't stopped. I think that once you feel the first movement you know what to look for now so, you'll notice each and every little movement.
You don't have to worry about anything just enjoy the wonderful miracle that is growing inside of you because soon the baby will be too big and you won't be able to feel the movements very much. You will be able to feel a foot or an elbow or something like that but not the baby moving around. Congratulations on your pregnancy and you'll be holding your baby before you know it.
