Vaastu is better compared to fengshui. Vaastu is whole and fengshui is part. Vaastu is a science which allows you to construct structures balancing all the five elements of nature, fengshui is a science which is part of vaastu principles highly studied and developed where only three elements are considered. Fengshui tries to harmonise the buildings with as it is structure and is only a temporary remedy. permanent remedy is Vaastu.

if you are in India it is fengshui and if you are in china its vastu.

In my opinion "better" is relative. What works for one, may not for another.
Without question however, both and all should be explored, if for no other reason than expanding enlightenment, and experiencing opitions.
