While typing today I realized that of the keys on the keyboard of my laptop has stopped working. Is there some easy things I could try to do to fix it myself before I pay to get it fixed?

Your keyboard is dirty, first try turning it upside down and shaking the particles out. If that dosen't work, or canned air dosent work. You can gently pry the key up and off, clean the inside and around the area on the key board with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol. If it still sticks, you then have a problem with the keyboard that a professional needs to fix. It's cheaper just to go to wal-mart and buy a new one if thats the case

Laptop keyboards are usually not something that can be easily serviced. If someone has a suggestion, great. Otherwise I'd say get ready for the expense. And you need to decide if you want to fix it - because there could be more keys about to quit on you. You might consider getting a new Laptop.

With a laptop I would recommend having a professional do it since they are very delicate. The last thing you want to do is break it worse than it already is by trying to fix it.
