Yes,sleep in the day doesn't count.Plus,it's recommended not to sleep in the day.The best thing would be sleeping for minimum eight hours(uninterrupted sleep) in the night. And I repeat that the sleep should be uninterrupted.make sure you go to the washroom before you go to sleep and make sure the environment u r going to sleep in is pleasant.also,it's a good idea to bathe well and brush and wash ur face well before sleeping...ensures fantastic sleep. And u can spray ur pillows and sheets with an essential oil.Cinnamon, lavender, chamomile are great ideas. And make sure you sleep on your back and not ur stomach otherwise u'll get puffy eyes!!!With ur head propped up.
Take care and sleep well(and by the way...ten hours of uninterrupted sleep is THE BEST...me feeling sleepy now, lol)

I don't know which one is more beneficial, but in many countries taking naps during the day is normal. In Asia, just about everyone takes a nap after lunch. In Spain, almost all businesses, including banks close for nap time.
Also, most people only get 5-6 hours sleep a night, so taking a nap during the day helps to refresh the body and lets you function better in the afternoon.

I only get 6 hours of sleep, too.

It's hard for me to fall asleep so i usually stay up until at least 11 or 12. Though i have to get up at 5:30am to go to work. I come home around 11 or 12 and then i usually take a nap for about an hour, maybe two.
So far i haven't had any probelms. And it works very well for me. I get thorugh the rest of the day a lot better when i take a nap.

Go ahead, take a nap if it gets you through the day better...

When you sleep, this is the time the body repairs itself and gets ready for the next day. Taking a nap during the day is good too. I do this whenever I can. Some people can go with little sleep. Some require more sleep than usual.

properly, initially, i believe the inconsistency is in all hazard the main significant concern. toddlers choose and thrive on a continuing recurring. you are the mummy of this helpful woman descendant, and that i advise which you're taking a seat and write a schedule that would desire to artwork to your toddler and tell your mom in regulation that this is going to likely be on the refrigerator (or someplace) and that she is to maintain on with the schedule if she needs to computer screen your new child. I actually have a 10 month previous, and he sleeps all night for 12 hours and then has a morning nap and an afternoon nap. i do no longer supply him pacifiers or lay him down with a bottle and that i purely lay him down interior the crib and he's well-known with it's time to sleep and places himself to sleep. He performs ok in the process the day, and intensely infrequently does he fuss or cry because of the fact he's had adequate sleep. purely attempt a recurring and spot the way it is going, you are the mummy, and your mom in regulation ought to comprehend that. additionally, toddlers at that age want a solid 14 hours of sleep in line with day. desire this helps and robust success!

One is supposed to sleep for an average of 8 hours,so if you are sleeping for 6hours during the night and then taking a nap for an hour during the day,i dont think there is a problem in that as it is you sleep less then the average time required and you no problems then its best.
GOOD LUCK!

Not at all. You're supposed to get 8 hours of sleep a night, but getting 6 at night and 1 during the day is good. You get the same amout of sleep, so you're set.

Not at all!! Sounds like you are doing good with it. If it works for you then keep doing it. It also reduces stress and fatigue by taking a nap.
I wished I could do that.
