I've been on, had a look, tried to navigate around but can't seem to find anything as interesting as people are always making out. Feel I'm missing out so would really appreciate some feedback !

You've got forums, kind of like this site. You have myspace music, loads of bands on there and you can add their songs to your page, although I have a playlist from projectplaylist.com. You have a bulletin board so all your friends can put up surveys and then you can fill them in. You browse members and look for friends to add, then you can message each other, that's the whole site basically! I enjoy looking for different layouts though, make your page look nice.

When you get real friends to add to myspace, it's cool. It isn't really addicting like the 50 year old men on there make it out to be.Good summary, overall. ^^

I thin you summed up myspace. If you want interesting try GATHER.com, thats not my scene but its a modicum more interesting than myspace ( good name, very appropos)
