You may need to tell your teachers when you don't understand a particular topic or subject. It may be difficult when you seem afraid or uncomfortable with a teacher's style. As an educator, I can vouch that most teachers would always be on the look-out for tell-tale signs that students understand their message. A lack of understanding should have no implication on the student's intelligence level, neither does it suggest the teacher's lack of communicative ability. It is always important to reach a middle ground in communication. This will help both the teacher and the student understand each other. Your part in letting the teacher know your problems with a topic/subject/module will help the teacher pitch this at the right level. Ultimately, it will contribute to your understanding of each other.

I am a little confused as to what your question is exactly. If you are wondering how to become more comfortable with a teacher who doesn't understand you I would suggest you start by showing respect (and expect that teacher to respect you, if he/she doesn't then talk to him/her or go to the administration). The next thing I think you should do is get to know your teacher and let your teacher know you. I get along great with my students and have some who have remained in contact with me. One girl had me be her labor coach. It is a matter of mutual respect and caring. Good luck.

Any good teacher would listen if a student came privately to them and expressed concerns they are having, if that doesn't work try the counselor or principle...not everyone is meant to be a teacher.
