A flipped uterus is also called a "retroflexed uterus". Most of the time, a flipped uterus is developmental (means that it occured from the time you were in your mummy's womb... you were born with it).

A flipped uterus should not cause any symptoms. It is just a normal variation. Symptoms such as pain only occurs if the uterus is FIXED to a nearby structure in the body. A mobile flipped uterus does NOT cause infertility, abortion or backache. :)

Don't worry... if the doctor does not offer any treatment for you, that means your flipped uterus is ay-ok. ;)

All the best! :)

Flipper or tilted uterus occurs in 40-50% of women today. Tilted uterus can make it difficult to conceive, but not impossible. It generally is a condition that is developed when infetro. You have to remember your organs are not glued or sewen to anything in general we have a floating type system other than the organs that are protected by our rib cage..The uterus is not one of them.. Not something to be concerned about, there are techniques that can be used if it is a problem getting pregnant..

Sorry I don't know how or why but I will tell you that mine is that way (inside instead of tilting forward towards my tummy, it tips back toward my behind) and I have given birth to two beautiful girls after normal pregnancies. You can have kids and have normal pregnancies. Doctor said it's like being left handed.
