Federer... the man doesn't lose.... he hasn't even lost a set so far. The only way he will lose the tournament is quit.

This is Gonzo's breakout year. He's a heavier hiter. Watch out for him. If it is Federer and Gonzo, I'm going with Gonzo. But, don't surprised if Roddick pull another upset like two weeks ago and makes it to the finals. A Roddick vs. Gonzo would be a great matchup of heavy servers and heavy hitters. Don't get me wrong, Federer is great, too great in this field of players. but honestly, he is boring to watch because he is such at a high level. If he was only playing during the sampra, agassi, courier era.

How do you know that FedEx and Gonzo are gonna play out the final???? The final could well be between Tommy and A-Rod. FedEx and Gonzo are definitely the favourites, but being the favourite didn't stop in form Nadia Petrova or Jelena Jankovic from losing to Serena Williams. Nor did it actually stop Gonzo from beating Lleyton, James and Rafael back-to-back.

Good match ... I say Federer unless Gonzo played like he did against Nadal.

Can't bet against Federer. He's so consistent and has proved time after time that he can win a grand slam and beat the best of the rest in the world. Here's an interesting tip though, Federer doesn't like playing in the wind. It's been a little bit windy in the past couple of days in Melbourne and if it picks up on Thursday and/or Sunday, Federer's shots don't hit the mark as often and he shows a bit of weakness. Knowing Federer though, it will have to be extremely windy for him to lose a match!
Roddick doesn't have a very good record against Federer (who does?) and it's too hard to think he will win the semi final against Federer. He's a 2-dimensional player who is negated with the deep Federer chip return off his serve.
Gonzalez has impressed, his huge forehand has been consistent which goes against all logic. He continues to hit bags of winners off that wing and very few unforced errors, it has been uncanny. Has served smart and been patient at most times. Would love to see him make the final against Federer to see how he matches up. I predict he will make the final.
It's difficult to be confident with Haas' game. He plays a couple of good games then a couple of bad ones. I don't think he will win, but his match agianst gonzalez will be interesting. Unless he can wipe out his rough patches of plays, he has the least chance of beating Federer and therefore the least chance of winning the tournament.

HEY! who said federer was going to the finals!!!!!!
andys gonna take this one, sorry to dissapoint you
and if by chance, roddick can't pull it off, there's no way either haas or gonzo will be able to win against him. now that nadals out, i'd have to say the person most likely to beat roger now is andy.

I love Fernando but I think Federer will win like he did in the Shang-Hi open against Fernando in the final.
