best places depends on what you like most,if you like monuments and historical places so the best will be Luxor and Aswan,if you prefer sun,sea and diving so best would be Hurghada or Sharm El sheikh.

It would be a tough choice between Luxor or the Pyramids. While Egypt has great beaches, Egypt's ancient civilisation is truly unique and you cannot see anything like it elsewhere (although I've heard that there are pyramids also remaining in Sudan)....there are great beaches all over the world. Egypt is famous for the pharoahs, Cleopatra, hieroglyphics, the Nile...it would be a shame not to see that!

Cairo, Alexandria, Sharm El Shiekh, Hurgada and El Minya..all these places have something interesting to do! Cairo you can see pyramids and Sphinx's. Alexandria you can see the great library and visit the sea! Sharm El Shiekh and Hurgada are both tourist sea resorts and in Minya you can go for a cruise on the Nile or have a drink on one of those massive boats that never move and enjoy the view at the same time..

Cairo, Alexandria and Aswan are places to visit in Egypt, to vacation (beaches etc.), I recommend Sharm El Sheikh situated at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula.

this bit difficult question, i live in Luxor, but i love 3 other cites here Alexandria, Aswan and Siwa, but if you are foreigner i would recommend Luxor for you if u will make it as a place for a while as resident, why Luxor??!! cause location is good, read sea soo near about 3 hours, aswan so near 3 hours, transportation is avaliable to Cairo, flight or train, inside Luxor you can see many tomps and temple, if you will move between some cities then, i advise you see, alexandria, aswan, Luxor. and if u will go to Alexandria for sure you will have the chance to be in Cairo.

there is nothing absolute,
u can say the best place according what u like ,
if u like nature , mountains , beaches , fine sands , diving and swimming , and coral villages ... you will go to hurghada and sharm
if you like nature , Nile , deserts , mountains , valleys , monuments and some kind of real Egypt .... you will go to luxor and Aswan
if you like noise , big cities , monuments , mosques everywhere and churches , some kind of real Egypt like in stories .... you will go to Cairo
there is always sun anywhere in Egypt ,
there is a hidden part of real Egypt in villages
