C is structural programming lang and java is a object oriented lang.
C is compiler based and java is a combination of compilation and interpretation.

these two languages have many diff and a vry big story can be written... so refine ur question....

Java has a better object oriented structure, easier to build and maintain code written, c is a procedural programming language and is not as high of a level as java.
But some of the concepts should be the same in both.
