Your croc will grow to be 12 to 20 foot or even longer. They will become expensive to feed, as they will need bigger and bigger animals as they grow. Such as first you give him mice, then rats, then chickens and/or bunnies, then say a small goat or sheep, until he can eventually eat nearly a whole cow once a week. Your talking $600 or more a week for croc food, only to pick up the large piles of c r a p later. You can keep it in the bathtub until it is about 1 1/2 foot long, but after that it would be unfair to him, because he also needs to get out on dry land and bask in the sun. Unless you can dedicate the whole backyard to him, build a pool/pond, put some sand out there, and a few heat lamps, I'd suggest getting rid of him while he is still small. Even as a baby they can make a snack out of your kids fingers, and are never very good pets, no matter how much of an expert you are.

Unless you are a coonass..sorry a Cajun and my friends in Louisianna know that I meant no disrespect. Anyway, I am pretty sure it is illegal to own a reptile that has a tendency for enjoying human flesh. A Crock ain't meant to be kept especially with somebody who has younguns. They start out looking cute and adorable and tiny. After about six months, the begin to double their size, their appetite is never satisfied and they "Own" their world and anything thas in it at that moment. A dog, a cat, a squirrel or a ten year old boy is just food to a hungry crocodile. It ain't nothin' personal...just somethin' to eat. Most times when a person thinks they are man enough to keep a Crock as a pet, reality wakes them up one dark night wwith a nightmare. The anchient Egyptians knew about the power of a crocodile and when the "Man" thats gonna tame something thats been wild for thousands of years wakes violently in a cold sweat and shaking uncontrollably...he knows too because the crock came to remind. That man will receive a vision that he ain't never seen before and is stunned to know that there is no way out of the situation. Well, he can keep it and watch his entire family be eaten alive or he can choose the cowards way out and flush it down the toilet. The reason I'm sayin' cowards way, is because he has now put all of the people in his community as menu items for the newly freed pet and secondly, because the certain future of the crock is to be hunted and killed after the first sighting.
Now other than a true Cajun, there is one other type of person that would even consider something so foolish. Most people would just call him a moron and I believe I'd have to agree with that discription

You have got to be joking these are magnificent creatures that should be out in the wild not a pet.
They are known to grow 16 feet long and hate bath tubs!can not say I blame them.
Hope your joking or if not then I side with the Croc get in its way and it will not hesitate going in for the kill.
Have a tendencies to eat things like children and parents so do your family a favour return this magnificent beast to its home.
This animals have the right to be left alone and preserved like the protection they have in Oz

they grow 12-16 feet long, easily. They will be slightly stunted if you keep them in a smaller pool, but not by much. By the time that guy is 2-3 yrs old, he will probably need a baby pool and by the time he is 5-6- he will need a huge pond and a full cow (or your kids) to eat every once and a while. Believe me, they do not distinguish the difference.

Crocodiles get HUGE and I hope you don't plan to keep it forever. After it grows to about a foot, I highly suggest that you give it to a local zoo unless you want your kids to get eaten. You CANNOT just "keep it in the bath." These are wild and dangerous creatures and should NOT be kept as pets once they reach a foot long. Please show some responsibility.

Depends on what kind you get, but any type of crocodile is dangerous to kids as they grow pretty darn big, you can simply forget the idea of keeping it a bathtub aswell. Like everyone else is saying, get rid of it or you can suffer the consequences

Yes, you can keep it in the bath, but you will need a VERY big bathtub. A swimming pool would be better.
Also, be sure you housebreak it and train it to walk on a leash. When it grows up, it will take care of any problems you have with neighbors who let their dogs do their business on your lawn.
Whatever you do DON'T flush it down the toilet! Your city sewer workers will be most unhappy with you!

Toy ones are ok - REAL baby crocodiles should be kept as far away from kids as possible - preferrably in a zoo.

I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to buy a crocodile without asking how big it would grow and what kind of housing it will need. Take it back to the store because the animal doesn't deserve to be owned by someone like you.
