It saves the file you right click. For example, you have a link to a PDF file. You right click the link >> save target as >> choose the file directory >> OK, and the PDF file will be saved in the file directory you chose.

"Save target as" if available will Down Load a copy of whatever you are clicking on to a drive. One example is if you like a picture on-line and want to use it you can right click on it and select "Save target as" to Down Load a copy to your computer. Just make sure that for copyrighted material that you give credit where credit is do.

it saves the mp3 etc into ur pc
some sites hav mp3s available to download but to download them u dont left click on the link, instead u right click and save target as....also if u right click on a link, eg website link (www.google.com), and click save target as it saves the link as html folder so then u can jst click on that when its saved on ur pc and itl open the link with the internet browser ^_^

Save Target As: allows you to deinfe where you are saving the file to. rather than the regular Save function which saves to the default file type folder.

Instead of taking you to the link behind the object you are pointing at (and the object could be a file, picture etc) Save As allows you to save that object on your local machine.

I'm assuming that you mean if you click on a pic, or something similiar when your browsing the internet. Save as will save that item to any place you choose, usually there's save as or open. Open dopes esxactly what it says just places it in a temp folder opens it then when you close its no longer on your PC. Save as places on your Hard drive

Save "as" gives you an option to save the file as YOU wish, that is, if it is an HTML file you could save as html or as text, .txt it can be usefull sometimes when manipulating files, for the most part you simply "save as" the original format.
