Im flying into luxor on Monday for a week. I have been told it is on high alert. Should i really be too concerned?

It was a simple question that I haven't seen or asked before. there is no need to be so rude, oh, and im NOT american and am not paranoid and AM really looking forward to visiting your country.... i just hope other egyptians arn't as rude as u are

Nope! There's absolutely nothing to worry about. Egypt has nothing to do with the Middle East Conflict and tourists come and go all the time without facing any trouble. I personally get many visits from American and German friends who come over in the summer and have the time of their lives.
Don't hesitate and come! Luxor has 1/3 of the world's antiques!!! You'll have the time of your life! :)

God i'm thinking of a template for that question so i dont write over and over.
if ur a believer like all of us Egyptians,which i'm sure u are, u'll know that u may die even if ur sitting in ur home.
i can guarantee 100% that ur country has lots of killers, terrorists, psychos just like anywhere on this planet.
i dont mean to be harsh or offend u in anyway but seriously, what is the answer ur looking for here??
u think some of us will say "no please dont come, there are many terrorists here, but i'm dumb enough to stay among them, oh mannn i found a bomb in my son's diapers AGAIN!!...."???
so to be frank i have to say, YES there may be terrorists in luxor, maybe not, no guarantees, only God knows.

Terrorist attacks are scheduled to happen Monday and Tuesday from every week.
The times are 3 to 6, 6.30 to 9,30 and there is a midnight attack which takes place at 12 o'clock everyday.
Risk factor at this time of the year is usually raised to code orange. Hopefully it won't turn into purple . Pink is usually the worst.

i live in Luxor, really it is safe enough here, i know many forginers live here as well, many English people they own lands or flats here so i guess if they do that they sure know it is cheaper and safety.
