Let me give you some good advice. Never ever tell anyone what days you will be in and what days you will be out. Never hand out any information to any stranger you never know what they are planning to do. I trust no-one but my family. Please take care their are so many bad people in this world. :)))

Sounds a bit dodgy to me. Why ask if you work nights and then not explain himself?? Unless you get a lot of parcels and instead of knocking on the door during the day when you might be in bed he could leave them with a neighbour or in a safe place or just leave you a card. Maybe he was being considerate that way.

He might be wanting to know why you are home in the day. It is not wise to let anyone (especially postmen) know that you are out during the day in case they are trying to case the joint! Our postman was recently sacked and put in prison for leaving letters stuck out the letterbox and then when they were still there by the afternoon, he was arranging to have the house burgled!

be careful giving information to anybody , the postman can leave
a calling card for you to make a collection from local sorting office or make a new delivery date , there was no need for the postman to ask you that

My guess is that your postman is concerned that he ia waking you up when there are larger items of mail that won't go in your letterbox. Had this been the case he would have made alternative arrangements for you. I'm confident that he was trying to help you.
Best wishes, J

He knows that you recently been burgled, and maybe because HE was the burglar! Next time, if he asks again, tell him to mind his own business!

Maybe (being a regular postman) he was just taking the rather uncommon step of being friendly and polite? It does happen occasionally and is not necessarily a sinister occurrence.
Stop panicking about it and just be civil back. If there's more to it, you'll soon find out.
It's not a crime to be friendly...

Presumably because you were there in the mornnig to take the parcel off him rather than being at work. I had loads of parcels for neighbours because I'm there in the day as I work nights. I must get round to passing them on one day!

Report him to your local Postmaster at once. It is not a question he is entitled to ask or needs the answer to in order to carry out his duties
