Is the media fighting Bush? why, on the TV news I saw all those people clapping hands while George Bush spoke. He did not seem as inferior as the media puts it and the Democrats as well as his own party members were not as hostile as they put it, neither was the Lady speaker as hostile nor was Bush’s speech naïve; otherwise why would they clap hands for him so many times? Non-USA observer.

Hi..the media is about ratings. They all want to be watched and if that means playing something up a bit or saying something another reporter may not say..as long as it's not a prosecutable lie...they figure it's all good.More work..brighter future.

the media has always hated bush and has made no apology for it. it truly is amazing how biased they are and that so many people believe the lies rather than find out the truth. never in the history of america has any president been so unfairly maligned and viviously attacked the way this president has. the media likes to portray the war as 'bush's war' when in reality the democrats and republicans voted for it, along with the approval of the u.n. based on the same intelligence reports bush had...they fail to see that if bush is guility of what they term an 'illegal' war so is congress and the u.n. as an outsider no doubt you see nothing but negative coverage of bush, it must seem to you like it does to so many americans that bush never accomplishes anything positive or does anything good which is far from the truth...there has been numerous funding, laws and appropriations for things from environmental to tax cuts to child protection laws etc. that have been enacted under by him that largely go unreported and those that are not close minded and fair must ask themselves why? and also how can one individual do all wrong and no right? the answer is this....bush bases his decisions on his religious beliefs and his moral convictions and not only stands by them but sees them through. also he is not perfect, he is a human being like any other and makes mistakes but he has tried to fix them and that is all anyone can ask from any other human being. personally i am neither a democrat or republican, i vote no specific party and i take measure of the person running before i vote so i have don't have a bias but i do speak the truth and anyone without bias and prejudice against bush would look at this fairly and say the same as i have those for him will defend everything he's done, those against will convict him. its sad to see american's behave in such a dishonest and vicious manner towards anyone but their own country and president...well thats just criminal in my book. i have heard people choose hugo chavez and his dictatorship over america and laud him because he gives 'his' (which in reality is the people's) oil to the poor. thank you for looking past the hype and bias of our american press i only wish the citizens here would do the same when judging our people.

The media have always been against the conservative and pro liberal. It doesn't make a lot of sense since the liberal party will be the first to censor them if they ever get real power. Who knows why they think the way they do but the bias is obvious and detrimental to this country.

praise to you for seeing through the media bias and vicious personal attacks on our president and our nation. you are right...the media is fighting bush...they hate him and why is beyond the thinking of any normal human being. most people who spew their nasty comments about bush and the republicans have no idea why they hate bush...ask them, they will say things like he's stupid, he started the war etc. but they have no facts to back them up..'curiously strong' on here said it best and i wish other americans would quit listening to jon stewart, cnn, fox, msnbc, nbc, abc and the rest of the media for their news and search for the real truth....its out there...they just need to look. thank you for posting this...sometimes an 'outsider' is the best one to point out a very ugly truth that we all need to hear.

American Politics is not he same as American Leadership.

Bush is being a Leader, and he is constantly being pulled down by folks who run on a platform of 'managment'.

Managers do things the right way.
A Leader's way is to do the right thing.
