We were never meant to know! He used to say 'I'll say my secret magic word...' or something like that then he would whisper something into his paw. If we all knew the magic word we'd all be turning into Superted! How cool would that be?
On a slightly different note, when I was in my early teens my friends would say to me, 'Wheres Superted?'. I was spotty, you see. The mean b a s t a r d s.

You may be woundering how i know this well my uncle is actually the
creator of Super Ted and he has told me himself that there is no magic

not sure, probably a filthy one, thats why you couldn't hear it and why he covered his mouth...
its possible he was whispering a prompt to the stage hand to get the harness set up so he could fly...
