Forget the democrats !!! I think they will just make things worse and still blame the republicans. All they want to do is talk and take no action.
Everyone keeps talking the democrats when we have a couple of good republican candidates such as Rudy Guiliani and John McCain. You can't blame everything on the republicans for the misjudgement of the President.

Uhh yeah thats the whole idea. Republicans had no problem sitting back and blaming Bill Clinton for everything from global warming to dress staining. Repubs kept saying, "just put us in charge, we'll fix all this crap", pretty much the same thig they said when they introduced their Conservative "Contract With America"... do you remember this quaint little piece of legislation? If not, go here
http://www.house.gov/house/Contract/CONTRACT.html
and be reminded of all the things Republicans told you WAY BACK THEN and see if you can recognize all the things in that "Contract" which the Republicans STILL havent accomplished!

Balanced Budget Amendment - Nope (Good thing too: Bush wouldn't have been able to go to war if this had been enacted by the Repubs)
Making Laws for Everyone Apply to Members of Congress - LOL sure and after an additional 6 years of control of both Houses AND the White House, still no progress on this one. Senators and Cngressmen stil write bad checks we have to cover, they still collect thousands of dollars in percs and gifts from PACs and Lobbyists, etc.
"Zero Baseline Budgeting" - Republicans wanted to get rid of this way to make it look as though you have money when you dont. Of course, another Republican, Dick Cheney, is quoted as saying in regard to the exploding budget deficit, "Deficits mean nothing". Try that with your household budget, see if the credit card companies agree with the Vice Prez.
The "Take Back Our Streets" - cutting funding from social programs to build more prisons. No new federal prisons have been built in the last 16 years, but Republicans have allowed prisons to be "outsourced", in other words, privatized, the lowest bidder now guards our country's most dangerous criminals.

Well you get my point. Democrats may not always have the right ideas, but at least they TRY to have ideas and then try to get those ideas made into policies which help Americans. This "Contract" and others like it is just typical Republican cynicism, they act on the knowledge all they need is a catchy slogan and the Neo Cons will jump right into line whether they see any practical results or not.

Rudy Guiliani isn't a real Republican. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. He should be kicked out of the GOP.

You're absolutely right. It's easy to sit back and talk smack about everyone else. At least Bush is taking a chance and putting himself on the line. The socialist media enjoys making a mockery of Bush if only for their own benefit in keeping themselves pretty.

I think if the dems do actually succeed in getting the troops pulled out early, people will come to realize that it was a big mistake and pull their support likewise. Although like you said they will blame that on Bush too. There is too much socialism spurring up in America. You look around, it's everywhere. There's some type of camera on almost every street corner. The government is getting more strict on local policies like smoking bans. Do people want the government handling every single affair for them down to their homes? I hope not.

I think we should listen more to our troops and less to the media. If our commanders in Iraq agree that more troops would help, then let's give them a chance instead of following some bureaucratic flip-flop who's only out to serve his or her own selfish interest.
