How does the idea of transgender differ in Indian culture from Western culture? Do "hijra" people in India have a corresponding group in Western societies?

Well Hijras are outcast - treated more like vengeful gypsies than as Transgender.

homsx....in indi cultures have a several thousands of years in practice ahead of western coultures...sinse they worship pagan idols with peculiar ryths and ceremonies...
