I HAVE BEEN WONDERING FOR SOME TIME THAT WHY IS MARRIAGE REFFERED TO AS AN INSTITUTION ?
IS THERE A LOGICAL REASON BEHIND THIS AND HOW DID THIS WORD CAME INTO USE ?

Probably has to do with people saying your in a committed relationship. It would be a reference to the word committed like a person is committed to a mental institution.

I don't really know though. That's just what pops into my head.

Most people feel like they are in an institution while married. IN the USA, first time marriages fail over 60 percent, and second time marriages over 70 percent.

Make sure you are really good friends beofre marriage, necuase that seems to make thekm stick.

Marriage is a secondary agent of socialisation as it does shape you into having shared values and that kind of thing. You hardly have free will in a marriage put it that way!

sometimes it feels like jail and no way out that's how i felt in my first marrige i married him to fast i only knowed him 2 months i was talked into that marrige but then i started having babies so i was stuck till i divorced him after ten misserable year's i raised my kids i loved my kids but not thier dad

It's an INSTITUTION because in order to enter it, you have to be COMMITTED.
