Is the majority always right?

Since this can pertain to almost everything, I find it difficult to answer. I have to agree with Private P though. Although, Im thinking about such things as gay marriages being illegal. It may be the majority that thinks its not right, but I certainly dont agree. Who do politicians think they are to tell me or anyone else what is moral?

Not always.

Just think about the classroom.

The majority would rather have the day off or recess or something, right?

If you think of it in those terms, then you know that the majority isn't always right.

Maybe not "right", but the majority always rules, and most likely is "right", whatever that means. Sometimes, "right" is in the eye of the beholder, just like beauty.
