well hello there,

if you have an ipod as far as i know when you plug your ipod in ITUNES recognises it and shows your device, you can then transfer your mp3s to your ipod.

if you plug in a differnt make of mp3 players ITUNES WONT recognise this for transfering mp3s. i think this is true because i tried it ages ago.

say if you had a Sony MP3 player you will have to use sonic stage unless its the simple Sony mp3 player where you just drag mp3s into the window.

but yeah, by the sounds of it your standard mp3 player wont work with itunes.

you need an ipod to work with itunes.

I-Tunes can only be used with I-Pods but your MP3 player should come with its own program to use which can transfer your songs onto it.

Steer well clear of Limewire and other p2p software - theres the HUGE question of legality and saftey, loads of internet nasties move freely through this method. However, looking throgh the internet will bring you to many sites that reside in the grey area of music downloads. You'll be able to download mp3 files and maybe pay for them, but they havn't been 'technically' been proven illeagal in a court of law

Well thats a BIG issue as some people have took iTunes to

Court because they do not alert you when you buy songs from

them that you cannot transfer them to any other music device.

So the bottom line is that you can't do it but they might bring a

patch out so don't worry mate!

iTunes will only work with iPods.

However, if you encode all your music as MP3 (not aac), other programs will handle your MP3 player, either that supplied with your player, or a free one like MediaMonkey.
