His formal Muslim training and close association with Christian fundamentalists will prevent him from getting too far, whatever his skin color or qualifications.

He is being considered, and he is half black. Not that makes a big difference. His views are for the people not a race. He hasn't made one ignorant comment to lean toward a race war. He has policy views and the interest of America on his mind. It is easy to look beyond color when the person doesn't make it an issue. He is a better choice than Hillary. We cannot take a chance with a woman because of all the enemies we have made in other countries whom believe women are below live stock. How can we have peace with these countries when they would have no respect towards our Commander in Chief. The bottom line is America is becoming a third world country and the people need to really listen and choose what is best for U.S.A.

The simple answer is probably no, but politics is not only about identity, and idea projections or qualifications, it's also about knowing the right people who can help and influence your career, and who are willing to spend a small fortune, backing you, in the expectation of some compensation later.
I said probably no because it really comes down to your chances of success at the ballot box, and your will to do what is required for the bank roller of your campaign to gain by your election as president.

I think with all thats going on in the world and it being "post 911" theres no room for muslim/islamic..anyones... who were not even born in the US to be president. We dont know if he has a hidden agenda..what if he is terrorist sensitive? DO we want to take the chance? If thats religous discrimiationon my part...o well...everytime i hear the word muslim I cringe visions of Osama andSaddam run thru my head....Obama/Osama..Ill vote for Hillary..Unless someone looks better by then..at least she was born here in the US and isn't a member of a religion whos radicals hate Americans and want us all dead..what if hes a closet radical?

Add Obama and Edwards and people think you get an Abraham Lincoln clone. Lincoln was a one term Congressman from Illinois and also a trial lawyer. I think the media tries to use photos of Obama that resemble portraits of Abraham Lincoln.

I see John Edwards as the same as obama. So don't make this racist. No experience and the only thing they have to offer is a left wing agenda and can speak well. I want more than just a poster for my president.

Considering that your question was asked in a racial tone, then how the hell else can it be answered..?
If he was white ? Hell no, he would be totally overlooked and would be a "no-news" item....
The man has about the same qualifications that the Hildabeast has, and that is zip ****.............!
I have always said that the average American is very stupid when it comes to voting !!! Most vote "because she's a woman" ; or "he's black"; or he's a good speaker" or he's so sexy" etc,etc...
I will not vote for Hillery or Obama.........
WHY???
Because neither are qualified for the office......!

Maybe not, but he does have charisma and he's a good speaker. It's disheartening to see people (like many that replied to your question) repeat the claim that he is Muslim (which is not true). I think race does play a role in terms of helping him gain some support, but with the smear campaign against him I believe he won't stay in the race very long.

Heck no! But because of the current trend that is now gripping the country, he may appear to be more appealing to an over-all public. Go figure.
