Sex is important in life.

Its not that important like breathing, eating, drinking, sleeping.Without breathing we cannot live after a few seconds or minutes. Without eating, drinking, sleeping we cannot live for one or two or a few days.
Without sex we can live as much as we want. But this does not mean that sex in not important.
Breathing, eating, drinking and sleeping are our basic necessacity.Without these we cannot survive.Sex is not that important for survival. But is is important for better and happy survival.
Sex may not be called necessacity but it may be called a want,a desire, a hunger and a thirst which should be satisfied.Without satisfying our sexual needs, desire, hunger and thirst, we cannot live happily.Life will be bore.
If we donot satisfy our sexual needs, or the more we avoid sex,or if we donot go for sex when we need it , the more it will come to our mind and depress us.Having sex gives us relaxation.Without having sex, we cannot have our children.Having sex is the foundation of married relationship. If there is no sex in married life, our spouse may get bored with us.Sex is a way of making love and giving love to ones partner. If we satisfy the sexual needs of our partner, he/she will love and respect us more.

But sex is not all and everything.Having safe sex, having sex like a gentleman in a gentle and caring manner and having sex "like a tonic and not like food" is more important.Having sex with mutual consent is all more important.Sex should not go to the extent of rape and other such things.

Sex in life is important.

Sex is good fun. But it is not life. Life is Sex, more sex and still more sex. But it still is not as or more important than life. The only and final question is what is life? And the answer is ; "the be all and the end all". But how dare Shakespeare define my life.

A good sex recharges a person. In a good sex both the soul and the body are equally invovled. It is medically acclaimed that a good sex can bring us out of depression, help us control our blood pressure, help us retain our fitness, and a lot more.

Life is like a tree offering different fruits. There are some fruits that you have to eat and some are optional. Sex is one of the optional fruits. You eat it or not is upto you. Most of the normal people prefer eating it...

I say yes.

Sex is important for procreation.

It is also an essential aspect of bonding between a couple.

Without sex life would not continue and that which remained and "called itself life" would be truly a lesser entity than life as we now know it.

Important? Yes. Not only from a here and now perspective that allows individuals to express their love for each other, but, also in the grand scheme of things, without procreation life would cease to exist.

It's really why we're all here, we as in humans and all animals. We are here to procreate and continue our species.
Thankfully, humans have the capability of advanced thought and emotion so we can choose to use our lives otherwise.
In that case, sex isn't a necessary means of survival, but a way to express our intimate feelings for someone we love. We do it because it feels good...like a drug.
So I say that yes, it's important in either case.

Sex is important in a relationship. Sharing this ultimate intimacy makes your relationship grow stronger day by day.

Sex between strangers is not important in life. That is just lust.
