Given this.. Aren't women making stupid comments when they try to say Pelosi is hated simply because she's a woman.

Thatcher was British, not American. They elected her woman PM a quarter century ago. Americans are way behind in our acceptance of women in politics. And Thatcher's approval has gone up as time has gone by. She was HATED by many during her time. Not because she was a woman but because of her policies, war on Falklands, aggressiveness in N. Ireland, etc.

This is more of an opinion than a question, but I have to agree with you. I really do not know much about Pelosi, but she is the first woman to serve as Speaker of the House.
