I've never read the book but I think the movie wasn't too great. The dragon was cheesy and overdone, the plot was simple and predictable. I imagine the book was way better.

I really enjoyed the book. the movie gave the intention that it was made in a hurry. they missed out some important parts. i liked it, though. i have first seen the movie and after i read the first book and the second one. and i loved the books. i felt like i was about to become a Dragon Raider myself. the movie never gave that feeling. Hard to choose a character. i liked Brom a lot. he reminds me of Obi Wan from Star Wars- he is a knight from the past whose only mission now is to pass on his knowledge to the new hope of the world. pretty similar if you think that Morzan, Eragon's father is the traitor. wouldn't be surprised to find out that he and Brom were friends...

The book. It goses into more detail about Eragon's past & present. The movie moved around too fast & missed alot of important thing's. Can't wait for the third book to come out.

I think the authors mother was a stay at home mom who homeschooled him. The book would be some good reading. Movie later.

i like the book soo much better... the movie was good though dont get me wrong... i like eragon and murtagh the best... brom was kinda grumpy... then again i did sorta miss him when he died...
