How can it be more sexist and racist. Years ago there was the slave trade, Klu Klux Klan etc and if you were gay nobody would have anythign to do with you, you were even frowned upon if you had sex before marriage, children with deformities were given away etc.! I just think there are more do gooders and much intolerance and PC in this day and age. You cannot say or do anything anymore.

Its just more apparent.
We have political correctness and the panderring to ethnic minorites shoved down our throats as the weight of the law looks on.
the backlash from the public is the result of oppressive behaviour by the government.
Obviously millions of democracy hating ,intolerant muslims living in our country, trying to change our laws ,government and beliefs
mean that many will have soemthing to say.Then anything you do say will be frowned upon as "ignorant","bigotted" and racist.

No. But there is more awareness which leads to more reporting of it.
It's a pretty silly question too. There was a time when women couldn't vote and when there were 'white only' areas. Things are still not perfect, but the direction is good.

A little bit of both. People seem to lean onto the support of long standing stereotypes because it saves them the effort of actually talking to the person to find out who they actually are.

definitely not all the words that were used to offend west Indian immigrants are not used today.also B&B's with signs upsaying"no blacks" it was terrible.no we have come a long way in 50 years
