Unless one is convicted in a court of law, he is innocent. This permits every criminal facing criminal charges to stand for election.

India is a secular and that means freedom of speech, freedom of action, freedom movement.so if the law is permitting a criminal to be an mp or an mla who voted for them.....we did didn't we.most of these mp's and mla's are wither related to the ruling party leader who for all i know has no idea how to run a state.mostly these guys are in for the power and money.the future of our nation is in the hands of all those young software and electro engineers or doctors or entrepreneurs who have happily found their wealth in the Americas,France or the UK.you don't want to obey the criminals don't.i am a 25 year old Indian citizen and have never voted and don't intend to because my one vote will not matter because either way its the wrong party that comes to rule.first put ban on multiple parties.make it a two party rule.you need a competitor or bring the military regime to rule our country.i am telling you these criminals will have nowhere to run.bring the army to power....

They are there because people have elected them. The definition of "CRIMINAL" is so blurred that it is difficult to identify them. Most importantly, If intelligent capable people keep away from active politics, the vacuum will be filled by any one who is willing. So let the good people come in.

I have a better idea. When they are just criminals they hide from the law. But when they become netas, they come out into the open. They must be shot at that time.
