You are the only person who knows what is best for you, do what you feel is going to make you happy. This is your life! I also am in dance school, I did not stay in the Navy for this reason, I wanted to dance again so here I am, and my family decided that this is what is good for me!

is there anyway that you can take a break to get your mind right and to figure out what it is that YOU (not your family) really want to do. Take a day off...make a list of pros and cons about dance and possible careers options, and things that make you happy, allow yourself to think deep and in terms of longevity...and off all things...only think about yourself...because it's your life and not your family's life. In the end, what ever decision is made (whether it's yours or your family's), YOU are the only one who is going to have to LIVE YOUR LIFE according to that decision. I wish you the best with this situation ♥

Hi sweetie, you are the only one that can decide for yourself. Is that what you really want to do? Maybe it's not. As you have been ill you might be feeling quite low, My son is 19 and also studying dance in university, He has always wanted to do this but thought that I was not going to be happy as many people say that with this career there is no future. When it was time to apply to universities for a place, he firstly applied to study as a primary teacher but deep in his heart he knew that it was not what he wanted to do so without me knowing he applied to a dance school and to his surprise he was given a place in The Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. He did not know how to tell me but when he did i was fine with his decision, I was happy for him this is his life. He started the course but due to serious family matters (my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer) he decided to come back home and spend with my mum all the time he could. I really was sad for my son as this was what he always wanted but this september he finally started in another uni and you know what he is currently fulfilling his dream (dancing) So sweetie if you are not happy with this course don't worry what your parents are going to say to you they might be annoyed but eventually they will have to accept your decision. The most important thing is for you to be happy. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you fulfill your dreams.

If you like dancing and that's what you want to do then you should stay. But if you don't like it and really want to get out of it then you should quite. But mostly it is up to you. You shouldn't worry what your family thinks it is what you think and feel like doing.
