The intellect is what is manifested, the by-product, of the physical brain being acted upon by our reality that some call soul. Our reality is that entity who wills to sense and experience the physical world through the various organs, i.e., sees through our body's eyes, hears through its ears, tastes with its mouth, thinks with its brain. By analogy, compare intellect with the light that is manifested when the lamp is plugged into the source of electricity. The lamp is the body, the electricity is the human reality, and the light is the intellect.
