And that is surprising considering she was well behind Feinstein and Boxer (two fellow Californians) before her name was plucked from relative obscurity as the frontrunner for the Speaker's position.

What's the basis for this "fact"? You "bet" she already has the lowest rating of any speaker IN HISTORY? That's a long time and I bet you're wrong, particularly since she's had the position less than a month.

I don't think so.
I do have to wonder though how the woman can warm up to the President the way she does, smile and gently squeeze his hand in a friendly greeting and then repeatedly stick a proverbial dagger in his back.
If I don't care for an individual I remain polite and congenial and I would shake their hand in a respectful manner but I could never appear to treat someone as a close friend would and then do everything I can to belittle and undermine them.
I have no respect for a person that acts hypocritical.
I have never seen President Bush ever treat her any way but with complete respect. Nor does he EVER publicly criticize her. He treats her postion with the respect that it calls for.
She is such a wicked woman.

I agree....Pelosi has come on too strong. She is trying to act as if she has some balls. It only makes her look like she is a confrontational B!&CH.
furthermore...it scares me that everyone is just going to blindly vote for the Democrat candidate just because of this whole Iraq issue. Because Hillary Clinton is the party hopeful....and God forbid should she become President!
