Please tell me if there is a logical reason for the deaths, I haven't seen it myself and I don't want to watch it if it will frighten me. I like thrillers, but not if they have the occult or "things beyond the grave".........

Depends on which version. The original Japaneses movie Ringu, is one of the scariest films I have ever seen. The American remake has it's scary moments but doesn't match the Japaneses one. There is no logical reason for the deaths and they are due to a rather scary supernatural reason. If you don't like horror don't watch the Ring> It is differently a "Beyond the grave horror" and features some scary and disturbing images of death, mutilation, animal and child cruelty.

There are no logical reasons for the deaths but the series was very creepy *I'm speaking about the original Ringu series and The Ring Manga* Don't bother watching the American crappy remakes..they were bitterly disappointing.

The Ring is one of the best horror films to come along in many years. Miles better than most of the standard teenage slasher crap that comes out. I have seen the original and think the US version oddly enough is superior. A really creepy film.

the movie doesn't have a lot of scary moments but the whole movie gives off kind of a creepy feeling... and the moments that are scary are really scary...

I had to sleep with the lights on for about a week.... and even to this day when I think of the movie I get creeped out...

Some parts are freaky. I had a friend who wouldn't sleep with the lights off in her house for a few weeks after she watched it, but I did call her from a pay phone and had one of my guy friends say "you have seven days..." and then hang up, so maybe it was my fault she got so scared. I laughed at a lot of it cause it was kind of OUT THERE. But if you get freaked out real easy, maybe you won't want to watch it.

the ring?
it's the worst movie I saw, it is not at all scary..
it's a stupid movie, and

it isn't demonic, or too scary as you said
and I watched the movie twice, once when I was eight years old, and recently

it all depends on a videotape...,..I bet you can see the movie even at midnight without getting scared!
