Wow... The Dems' second best candidate has only been senator for 2 years.

Does that mean that the other Dems are ultra-slow learners?

Richardson is the best qualified Democratic candidate, he is the only one with experience managing a bureaucracy or demonstrating leadership ability, and he has done so succesfully.

Being a Senator of 6 years (Clinton/Edwards) or 2 years (Obama) does not require leadership abilities and those candidates have never shown any skills necessary to lead.

It means that the Democrats are voting for personality, not the best candidate.

Harry Truman was a haberdasher before being tapped from the Congress to be VP and then become President. If someone has the education to understand politics and it's workings, but lacks experience in the political arena, yet has the best intentions for a better U.S. then I would consider that person, no matter waht color he or she is.

I will say what most of you know and few will say. He's getting the attention he is getting because he is young and he is black. Can anyone tell us at least one piece of legislation he has proposed? He has done nothing. He is not qualified to run for president. As one other answer stated Hillary will eat him alive. If he were a white senator he would not even be concidered as a viable canidate.

Oh no, not at all. But sometimes the best way to go is with someone that is still not 100 percent "politician". We need a candidate that still holds to ideals and doesn't pander to others. Obama is fresh, smart, and qualified.
