Despite winning multiple awards, most notably for the first season, Arrested Development was canceled due to low ratings. The first and second season had about 6 million ratings but dropped to four million the third. When they broad casted the last four episodes in two hour time slots, the ratings were so poor Fox ultimately decided to cancel the show.

Showtime had planned on picking up the show but creator, Mitch Hurwitz, decided that he wouldn't do it.

If you still wish to watch, MSN Video offers episodes of Arrested Development at no cost to viewers. When announced in Nov. of '06, the first 11 were already up and starting the 15 of Dec., '06 they were to release 3 episodes every 3 weeks.

They canceled the show because the general populace are drooling idiots that wouldn't understand funny if it slapped them in the face, and Fox is a corporate prostitute that sells itself to the highest bidder.

It was one of the best shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching.

Obviously it wasn't good and nobody watched it. Low ratings = canceled show.
