Why should you expect the Govt. to do this.
Being educated we must know our rights and get them.
The politicians and bureaucrats come only from us.We are electing them.

In Indian context government should do absolutely nothing to make people aware of their constitutional rights and democracy as an aware and hence a demanding community will not serve the purpose of those who are responsible for Governence.

Our government should do the following to make people aware of their constitutional rights and democracy.
1. Creation of awareness by T.V., Radio, News Papers.
2. Creation of awareness at Local Level i.e. Panchayat level.
3. Each & every person should know thier rights & duties.
4. Education at school level regarding rights & duties should be given properly.

Create free public Libraries. Allow for free trade where books become available at stores for purchase by the masses. Create an Internet that is available for the free flow of information and Ideas. Have a Question and Answer format on Yahoo.

Stop restricting the free media, Our rights are being stripped right out from under us. Congress now is trying to pass (H.R 4682 and S-1) a bill under the table (under meaning without the media) This will not be seen on T.V.

Teach civics in schools.
Allow uncensored access to the Internet.
In other words - do what the US has been doing.
