I'd be delighted to help Iraqi kids, and other kids, as soon as I see that the children around me are taken care of. There are poverty levels in America and children who have not had the advantage of others. Yes, what is going on is terrible, but so is the abuse in the homes in America; sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and none are reported until the child is damaged for a lifetime. My heart goes out to ALL nations with children suffering, but my help starts at home in the United States of America. I help on a daily basis, with no cost to anyone, but just because I care. And I can see that the money and time invested in used wisely, not wasted on bureaucratic things and salaries as most charities do.

I always feel most for Charities that feed people in Africa that have no food. They have all the other problems we have charities for as well, but somehow starving is worst of all. Any charity that is not about feeding starving people, is really like a luxury charity.
I can't believe we let people starve in the 21st century.

I always give any spare monies to our local animal sanctuary. They are only supported by donations. I run a stall at our local summer fete weekend to raise cash for them and so many kind people offer to help with either money or their time and it is these people who keep the sanctuary open. The sanctuary take in wild animals and birds that have either been injured or abandoned by their parents for one reason or another. The staff and volunteers are grateful for any help that can be offered.
