What are the legal aspects of this in regards to dog containment. My neighbor has no fenced yard and on occasions he has let his dog crap on my yard and im sick of it. The dog also pisses in my bushes. Ive tried to talk to him about it but he told me ive got problems, if thats all im worried about.

I've also seen his dog(Irish Setter) without a leash running around the yard, and wandering in my yard.

Can the police do anything or is it a waste of my time to notify them? What legally can I do?

Thank you

I'm sure you have lease laws, so you can call animal control and they'll pick-up the dog and the neighbor will have to "bail" the dog out of the pound for a hefty fee. If you care, you have a good cause of action for nuisance in your local Court. The police can and will do something if the dog is off your neighbor's property when they arrive. In most areas, Animal Control is part of the police or sheriff's departments.

Most communities have leash laws. If yours does, have the neighbor cited.
I once had a similar problem with a neighbor. I scooped up the dog dirt and put it in his mail box. End of problem.

Collect it and return it to your neighbor. Leave him a burning bag of dog sh*t on his porch.

It's disrespectful but unfortunately, there's not much you can do.
Why don't you just pick it up and throw it in his house...
