For the past 2 weeks I have been exhausted. I've been falling asleep at 8:00pm and I wake up at 6am(during the week, I wake up at 8am on weekends). Thats almost 10 hours of sleep every night! On top of that I've been falling asleep during work and at odd moments. I've never slept this much,I'm not sick. and nothing in my schedule's changed- is this normal? Whats wrong with me!?

Okay let me add a few things now that I have some replies! I do take vitamins and Folic acid daily. I drink H2O constantly all day- its the only thing I do drink actually. Uhm... I do have low iron, but I take iron pills for that during Aunt Flo, otherwise I just eat food with high iron. I've never been checked for bipolar but I do have ADHD, maybe that has something to do with it? I'm not bored- and get plenty of exersize. Preggers is a very slim chance. I'm going to check that though and the blood pressure- Thanks everybody!

Could u be pregnant? I was so tired when I was first pregnant that I could barely function for about three months. Or, maybe your body is recovering from a bout of too little sleep a while back?Sleep is accummulative.

Maybe you have low Iron, I have had similar issue before..i think you really need to go to a doctor so they can check you out, for one you are probably getting too much sleep..or actually the sleep you are getting is not " good sleep" i would really go to a doctor and see if they can refer you to a sleep study..i have a friend whos husband is a nurse at a hospital and he does sleep studies where they watch you sleep at night..there might be something you do in your sleep that you don't realize and it is making you so tired Ex: they told me about one man who went to the sleep study and while he is sleeping he would be moving his legs like he is riding a bike..he did not realize he was doing this and he was so tired in the mornings he felt like he never slept! So get this checked out, seems like it is getting pretty serious if you are falling asleep at work and all

there are so many different things it could be most already listed here on in the answers, depression, sleeping too much makes you more tired, pregnancy, low levels. I would take a home pregnancy test and if it's not that you should see a doctor (well if you are prego you should see one anyway but thats another story) only the proper test by a doctor can tell you what is the matter.

i go through this sometimes, are you depressed such as seasonal or otherwise, over stressed or even possible bipolar? this is the deal w/ bipolar people you go through times that you are an ox and can stay awake for days sometimes insomnia and are the most productive person on the block and then you crash so tired sad and hopless feeling next thing you know your out on spending sprees and up all night washing walls! it's the damdest thing and it can be frustrating if you don't understand whats going on.

Try sleeping less hours every day. If this continues, then it seems like something is not going well. You should take a doctor's opinion or get some health tests.

there is a chance you are sleeping too much
some newer studies have shown that this can be just as bad as not getting enough sleep
try setting your alarm so that you get 7 hours of sleep.
try it for at least a week
see if you notice any difference
if not you might want to talk to get a check up

not enough exercise (10 min a day may do), some muscle just get too tired and the other just bored for same thing over and over again

less sleep at night, change it in to noon,

drink plenty of water, especialy every time you awaken

imbalance sugar in your system may cause it too,,,
maybe you had intestine injury,

i prefer thinking that you are bored

maybe you have mono- it makes u need to sleep all day and then your still tired. it could also be anemia, or depression or your just sleeping too much so your body's too tired. Vitamin B12 plays a huge role in energy levels- if your extremities are tingly and numb sometimes mayb y have a b12 difficiency.

I'm with AJ. You may be pregnant. Do a home pregnancy test in the morning with your first morning urine.
