Shadded? That's weird. Never heard that before. Try to pull the battery out and start your PC.[Turn off PC 1st] Get into the bios and see if it's shadded. If it's not turn off the PC and put the battery in again.
That should work..
good luck

Some BIOS motherboards don't allow the boot sequence to be changed. Go to the web site for your BIOS manucturer and see if there is an upgrade for your BIOS software. Download it and re-flash your BIOS. NOTE, make sure you get the exact flash BIOS upgrade software for your motherboard or machine. Note, you will need to re-flash your BIOS by booting from your floppy, since you don.t seem to have this option at present , look for 'boot up floppy seek' and enable it in you BIOS. Failing that disconnecting your hardrive should force the BIOS to boot from the floppy.

Hi,
Relativly easy.
Turn the thing off, switch it back on, and hit the "Del" button on crank-up.
Be careful here, but highlight yuor priiorites setup, and configure it as you wish.
Normally C - hard drive first, followed by A - floppy (bootable disc required), and D - CD drive.
The thing should search in that order for the necessary files, such as SYS.COM, COMMAND.COM, A4.EXE, and other bits & bobs.
I don't know where you are looking, as nothing should be "shadded" out.
