There are currently 13 Jewish senators as of the 2006 elections.
2 of them are Republicans 9 of the are Democrats.
The other two are the only independents in the senate.
Joseph Lieberman is considered a conservative Democrat. While Bernie Sanders declares himself to be a socialist.
