The man in my life couldn't be further from wuss status. He is strong mentally and physically and knows how to be a man. I have complete respect for him as he does for me.

Maybe it's the 'metrosexuals' of today that make SOME men appear wuss like to you. Don't sell your gender short with generalisations like this though, men have it tough enough with the women bashing them these days!

Would I be right to assume you aren't putting yourself in that category? ;-)

Karma.

Right through the 1990s womens magazines went on and on about this mythical 'man of the ninties', the sensitive male. Likewise, mens magazines kept telling men ways they could be more sensitive and impress more women by getting in touch with their feminine side.

Then fashion changed, and women started demanding more 'manly men', but unfortunately their conditioning of the 'man of the ninties' had produced a swath of sensitive males.

Basically too many women will give a guy **** if he gets into a fight over her, and call him a wuss if he doesn't. If he gets in touch with his feelings and expresses them, he is a wuss or possibly gay, if he doesn't he's an emotional retard or a caveman. If a man isn't dressed fashionably, he has no style, if he does he is a metrosexual or a wuss, or possibly gay. If a guy does nothing but quest for meaningless sex with strange women, he is said to only think with his dick, and is accused of being shallow, and dog like. If he only sleeps with girls he actually likes and respects, abstaining from screwing everything that moves, he is a wuss, or possibly gay. Basically whatever men do these days, too many women will either accuse them of being thick, unfeeling, no brain animals, or wussies with latent homosexual inclinations.

When I select a girl to go out with, I try to select one that I like as is, not one that I think I can mould into what I think a girl should be. Lots of girls treat their boyfriends like dolls, they make them wear certain stuff, force them to get all sensitive, then when they decide they can't fully turn him into the walking contradiction they have in their head as the perfect man, they caste him free, and ultimately confused, into the fray with his identity molested.

Respect is important on both sides, true. But the idea of what's "wussy" varies by culture and upbringing. What you might consider wussy may be correct in another culture. In mine, all we had to do to divorce our husbands was to put his things outside the door. He got the hint. That was exactly what my mother did with my father, and he also got the hint. That's our way, not "wussy."

Yeh, get out the back jack, jump on the bus gus, turn in the key lee, just set yourself free. gonna do that. old loving dan is no wussie, just a loving machine. I be stroking. Let me tell you why all men but two three have become wussies. They don't have the equipment and they know it. Those that do, they know it. The back seaters just get all grumpy and step aside for the likes of me. what can i say. some got it. lol

To be honest, I'm partially fitting to this. I don't do it towards random people (attractive women or not) however. But I do let a family member or friend walk all over me, which I hate myself for. But to me it seems that either I let them do it and they are happy, or I make them not like me. Deep down I try to make everyone happy, so it just works out that way. :( The biggest instance of this right now is, my mother takes a large amount of money from me in order to for me to live here. Over what the entire cost of living here actually is. But she makes little money, so if I tell her no and leave, she will most likely end up homeless. I don't know, it sucks though.

Allow me to tell you about a true five-ten wussie who was deathly afraid of his four-eleven sister. If she so as much as looked at him cross-eyed he'd literally shake in his shoes. He was close to ten years older to boot. Scenario: little sister and her husband decided to live with big brother and his wife. His wife kicked them out - little sister barged into the room and told older brother he'd better start packing or else. He literally flew off the couch afraid he wouldn't get packed fast enough leaving his gaping mouthed wife in his wake. Now that is a wuss.

I agree most definantly, you have men who hit women, rape women, cuss at women...i mean come on, it scares me that when i get ready to get married that there won't be any decent men for me(I'm 16). It shames me because my own father is a womanizer, but hopefully these boys will become men, and not grow in man's body and still act like a boy.

Because we live in such a "sue" happy environment where people will whine and moan about every little thing.

When Califonia considers laws that says a parent cannot spank their child or the military has boot camps where recruits have merely to pull a red card from their pocket to take a mandatory "time out" in case they feel they are being harrased, its a crumb cake world.

A lot of women these days were raised without a father, and their mothers were bitter, lonely, miserable, peolple. They dont know how to treat a man, and their ideas of how to treat a man from videos and soaps on television. Ladies stop livin in fantasy land and get back to reality. Treat a man how you want to be treated, and you wont have that problem

Wussies (uhh, I love the word, sounds so nice) are expected from the today's society...you know- new era of new men and women:

Women: hard working, intelligent, can take care of themselves

men: they shave themselves, can cry, show emotions...

its just a thought
