Having kids forced me to not give up on things. Until I had kids I gave up on everything - courses, people, places etc. But you can't give up on your children even though at times you think you might want to. So it stabilised me - made me 'get it together' and now when things go wrong outside my family I have my kids to keep me strong - so it works both ways.

My boyfriend and I were both partiers to the EXTREME...we got pregnant after being together only five months, and it absolutely stabilised us both. Now we're married and just had our third baby, and we're both very together. If we hadn't had babies we'd still be way out there, and probably would've messed up our relationship along the way. Good question!
