If you see someone you like on the train, & you are both making good eye contact, what's the best thing to do?

This happend to on a train to work one day which I hated.
When the crowded train thinned out a London Bridge he came over and started talking and persuaded me to take the day off. (it was in the 60's and I was shy then)
We spent the day together and it was very magickal just pure companionship for a day, with no ties, and I have never ever forgotten it.
