Looking for a good, simple music prog(s). to create chord progressions and melodies to show band. Any ideas?

Looking for something mid-range price. Not computer illiterate but need to learn fast and get music moving to the band.

I use "Finale" but it may be more program than you need, since it can handle full-orchestration.

I Like Guitar Pro 4, So you know..theres more than just guitar in the program
