The penile frenulum is not a joint. It is the band of skin under the head or "helmet" of the penis that attaches the foreskin to the shaft. It stretches and contracts to allow erection and retraction of the foreskin. It will not break before, during or after sex. The skin will simply stretch to allow an erection and for the foreskin to roll back. Since you can retract your foreskin, it is not too tight, so there is not much danger of it tearing at the wrong moment. If it should tear, you will be the first to know and the pain alone will drive you to seek medical treatment. But unless you really get athletic, the chances of that happening are really, really low.

The frenulum is a small ligament which acts like a string which prevents the foreskin friom retracting completely and pulls it forward again after manual retraction. In a circumcised man, the frenulum is iften cut away completely, allowing the skin to stay clear of the sulcus (groove) at all times. Unless your frenulum is too short, it will probably not break during sex, but you are better off to be completely circumcised , with the frenulum removed.
