Most do and some(few) work to help humanity. Still others work because they really like the job of curing people and have interest in medicinal science. Others work as doctors because of the prestige the profession brings. So you see they are many reasons why one practises as a doctor.

The term “only” is the cue!
Well generally people try to choose or select their profession on likings, passion, demand, social recognition, job security, job satisfaction etc. Here money is not "only" the factor but also great one no doubt about it.

Only very few doctors are there who are really DOCTORS others are just working for money and more money, commissions from the pathological centres, foreign trips from drug manufacturers and what not.

Maybe some do , but there are some that are truly dedicated to serving their patients. It takes several years and alot of really long hours to get to the point where they make alot of money.
