I want to visit Manila and I will sit two days and I ask if you know the names of some island or resort beautiful and safe ? I would like to visit a new place because I visited Mindanao and Baguio and Boracay in the past , Can you help me ?

Try going to El Nido in Palawan, the place is really beautiful and nice and yes it is safe. There is also an Island called Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro those are just some of the nice beaches that are really nice and at the same time tourist-friendly.

For 2 days visit, I would suggest go to Angeles City. There are beautiful places inside Clark Air Base that you may like, especially a resort called CLEARWATER, (look at their website)the place is serene, with a lake where you can go boating, or fish. Although CLEARWATER is only for members, I can help you get 2 days accomodation. I dont know how much they charge per night, the last time I spent less than a $100 per night. Try it and you maybe surprise, at night there are many places you can listen to good acoustic players or have a go at the Filipino Casino.
Angeles City is only 80 kilometers north of Manila.

There are many great places to visit in the Philippines but transportation can sometimes limit where you can go in only 2 days. I highly recommend the subic Bay area, has a wide range of activities and places to stay in all price ranges. It is easy to get to from Manila 3 to 4 hours away and able to reach by public transportation.

My experience is that Manila is the worst place for a foreigner to visit. Try Bohol or Cebu.

i live in st. croix and it is in many ways much cheaper then the states. there is crime in evry city but its not bad there. the car insuranse is 300 usd a year, ciggaretts are 6.95 a carton, rum is 4.29 a litre, dive certification is 250.00 or 30-40 if you are already certified incl. equipt. and air. air rents 8.00 for a large tank. in 3 years i have never been rolled. just use your head and stay out of the ghetto at night. i have never been to manilla but have heard its dangerous to touerists. good luck and tell me if i have been missled
